The Blonde Squad
While wearing a blonde wig for a movie Beck is filming, Cat meets a cute boy at Nozu and instantly hits it off with him. But the boy thinks her wig is real, and she worries he won't like her when she's out of disguise.
Tropes:
- Be Yourself: The aesop of the episode. Subverted however, as Ryan only liked blondes...but at least he was nice about it, right?
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: Cat's prediction of Ryan was actually right — he breaks up with her once the wig is off, because he's only into blondes.
- Dumb Blonde: In-Universe for The Blonde Squad movie, Jade plays the role of Tawni, who's the "idiot" of the trio.
- Has a Type: Ryan is into blondes to a rather ridiculous degree, and ultimately dumps Cat when she reveals she's not actually blonde.
- Foreshadowing: Jade looking up Ryan's Slap page revealing all of his past girlfriends are blonde — even his pet dog — are hints that he's only into blondes and foreshadows how he'll react when Cat reveals the real her.
- It's All About Me: When Robbie approaches the Vega sisters with a song he wrote for a certain girlnote , Trina assumes the girl is her and responds with disgust, proving Trina so self centered that she'll make a situation about her even when she doesn't want it to be.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Tori felt this way after Ryan breaks up with Cat because he was only into blondes.
