Sleepover at Sikowitz's

To teach Tori and the gang about method acting, Sikowitz hosts a sleepover at his house where they have to play someone and must stay in-character until morning; anyone who breaks character gets "banished" from the house for the rest of the night.

Meanwhile, Tori's parents watch a movie, but their privacy is disrupted by the eliminated guests.

Tropes:

  • Don't Explain the Joke: Something Cat's character is prone to.
  • Get Out!: Sikowitz says this to whoever breaks character.
  • I Am Very British: Beck's character. According to Robbie, his accent is hard to understand.
  • Implied Death Threat: Upon catching Beck getting awfully close to Tori while in-character, Jade doesn't like that at all, so she says this to him while also in-character in a heavily disguised deadly tone.
Jade: Just be careful now, Mister British man, 'cause who knows what terrible things might happen to you if that continues?
  • Joisey: Tori's character is a Raisin Bran obsessed cop with a thick Jersey accent.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Beck's character is always invading everyone's space.
  • The Pollyanna: Jade's character, Betty Sue Goldenheart, is really peppy and never gets upset about anything.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Apparently, Andre didn't tell his grandmother about how he has to stay in-character for a method acting exercise at Sikowitz's house. Even when she calls him later that night, Andre is there and speaks with his persona on to her, and the panicked woman thinks she's playing games with her. This causes Charlotte to storm over to the house and confront him over it, which in turn makes him explain it to her on the spot, causing Sikowitz to bust him for breaking character and banishes him.
  • Riddle for the Ages: When advising Tori and Beck to behave around the house while staying for the night, Sikowitz vehemently insists that they absolutey do not look under the sink in his bathroom. Why he strongly urged them not to do this, and what was hidden under there, is never revealed.
  • Secret Test of Character: To see how his guests would react while method acting, Sikowitz pretends to get a fly and crash into a window in the supposed attempt, which makes him pretend to be hurt. Robbie rushes over and checks on Sikowitz, breaking character in the process. This causes Sikowitz to stop pretending and have him eliminated, leaving Robbie to be the first person banished.
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Tori gives one of these to Rex after he keeps hitting on her, reducing him to Stunned Silence.
  • Sidetracked by the Analogy: Charlotte Harris, Andre's grandmother, comes to Sikowitz's house to ask where Andre is. Sikowitz tries to explain by starting off with, "Well, that's a dilly of a pickle..." to which Charlotte replies, "I don't eat pickles!"
  • Slumber Party: What Sikowitz hosts for the episode.
  • Tempting Fate: When Jade accidentally burns her fingers while getting food from the oven, she tries to play off her pain with her happy-go-lucky personality still intact, and then leaves the house.
Sikowitz: And yet she never broke character.
Jade: (offscreen) MOVE THIS CAR! (sound of glass breaking is heard)
    Sikowitz: You broke character!
Tori: And your neighbor's car window!
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Tori's character is obsessed with Raisin Bran.
  • Unishment: Jason (Sikowitz's nephew who's staying at his place as his parents are away) says that he's going to the Moxi to see a movie. He then asks any of the guests if they can join him, to which Cat chimes in that she wants to, not in character anymore. Sikowitz eliminates Cat and has her banished, but Cat couldn't care less as she now has a date, and gleefully heads off with Jason.
  • Would Rather Suffer: When Jade is cast (by Tori) as a sweet farm girl, which is the polar opposite of Jade's real personality, Jade replies that she would rather slam her tongue in a car door.
  • Written-In Absence: Trina does not appear, but was mentioned by Mr. Vega.
