- Girls with Moustaches: Velma has a mustache as part of her disguise to go out on a date with Daphne as a guy. Her attempt to get a kiss out of Daphne is stopped when Fred rips off the, fully real, mustache.
- Indecisive Parody: When Daphne suggests disguising at a photo-booth to escape their chaser, Velma shoots down the Changing Clothes Is a Free Action trope, yet the chase scene plays its sister-trope Talking Is a Free Action completely straight.
- Scooby-Dooby Doors: Parodied when Norville chases after Fred. Fred lampshades that moving through doors this way is physically impossible, and both of them start to freak out before Fred realizes it's just a carnival ride.
