This is the recap page for Ultraman Tiga, the 1996 entry of the much-beloved Ultraman franchise that revived it from a fifteen year hiatus and marked the beginning of Ultraman's Heisei era. Set in a universe separate from all previous shows, it centers around Daigo Madoka of GUTS, who discovers that he is descended from a prehistoric race of giants that defended an ancient civilization and ends up reviving and merging with the petrified form of the last of these beings. The series ran from September 7, 1996 to August 30, 1997, lasting 52 episodes, and having a movie and a gaiden special.

NOTE: Descriptions are based on the original Japanese version, not the English dubs.
