This the recap page for Ultraman Orb, the 2016 entry of the Ultra Series, marking its 50th anniversary. It centers around a girl named Naomi Yumeno who had a recurring dream of a giant of light battling a monster since she was a child, and when she encounters the vagabond Gai Kurenai, she discovers a past closely linked to him and his mysterious enemy Jugglus Juggler.

- 01 The Sunset Wanderer: Naomi and her friends, Jetta Hayami and Shin Matsudo, — who form a group of paranormal investigators named the Something Search People (SSP) — look into mysterious tornadoes around Japan allegedly being caused by a gigantic bird. In their investigation, they encounter Gai Kurenai, the human form of Ultraman Orb.
- 02 The King Demon Beast of Earth: The SSP investigate what could be responsible for abnormal earthquakes causing skyscrapers to sink into the ground and run into Gai again. However, they also encounter Jugglus Juggler, who is trying to summon the monster (which he identifies as one of the six King Demon Beasts) behind it.
- 03 Monstrous Waters: When Tokyo's water supply inexplicably become extremely foul-smelling, the SSP and Gai both look into it and discover another King Demon Beast has been awoken by Jugglus Juggler. Ultraman Orb will need a new power to defeat the monster, and his newly gained Ultra Cards are going to come in handy for that.
- 04 Beware the Fire in the Midsummer Sky: The appearance of a miniature sun in the sky turns out to be the doing of the King Demon Beast of Fire, Maga-Pandon, who proven to being overwhelming, even Ultraman Orb. And as Gai recuperates with the SSP, he is haunted by memories of a girl named Natasha.
- 05 A Heart That Won’t Flee: Naomi is kidnapped by an Alien Zetton named Maddock, who hopes that Ultraman Orb will come to her rescue so that he can defeat the hero with his monster Hyper Zetton Deathscythe. If Ultraman Orb's going to win this battle, he'll need to make use of his two newest Ultra Cards.
- 06 The Forbidden Forest: The SSP, Gai, and Ittetsu Shibukawa, Naomi's VTL officer uncle, go to a forest supposedly haunted by the ghost when a UFO is sighted there. Meanwhile, Juggler forms an alliance with the Planet Invasion Union, an alien gang made of a Mephilas named Nostra, a Nackle named Nagus, and a Metron named Tarude.
- 07 A Future Shrouded in Fog: Gai and the SSP meet a woman named Haruka, who has prophetic dreams of the monsters they have encountered. She has recently dreamed of a monster that will defeat Ultraman Orb and is fully convinced that nothing can be done about it. Can Gai change her views?
- 08 The Urban Merman: The SSP look into a sighting of a monster at a fish market and discover the shopkeeper has been giving home to a Ragon mother and child. The creatures have fled the ocean from a threat, so what does it have to do with the recent disappearance of local fish populations?
- 09 The Impostor Blues: The Planet Invasion Union hires an Alien Babalou named Babaryu to impersonate Ultraman Orb and ruin his reputation. However, the plan is ruined when Babaryu is mistaken for a hero during a sudden monster attack, and now SSP is convinced they have learned Ultraman Orb's secret identity.
- 10 Juggler Dies!: In exchange for Don Nostra's Ultra Card of Ultraman Belial, Juggler agrees to defeat Ultraman Orb for them. However, Nostra doublecrosses and sends Nagus to kill Juggler instead. And as Orb and Juggler face each other, the nature of their relationship and the purpose of King Demon Beasts' Kaiju Cards will be revealed.
- 11 Trouble! Mama’s Here! Naomi's mother is coming over, so she asks Gai to pretend to be her boyfriend for her visit. However, Juggler shows up and awakens the sire and mightiest of the King Demon Beasts — Maga-Orochi, a beast that not one of Ultraman Orb's collection of Ultra Cards will give him the strength to defeat.
- 12 The Dark King’s Blessing: Unable to stop Maga-Orochi, Gai turns to the ghost of the forbidden forest, Tamayura-hime, who gives him the Ultra Cards of Zoffy and Belial to unlock a new form able to defeat the King Demon Beast. But not even Ultraman Orb may be able to handle the power of darkness.
- 13 Cleanup of the Heart The SSP clean up their apartment and come across a number of old gadgets that let them reminisce about their adventures with Gai so far. Meanwhile, Tarude, the sole surviving member of the Planet Invasion Union, vows revenge against Juggler.
- 14 Justice Out of Control The SSP are meeting up with some VTL engineers when a giant alien robot falls from the sky. They dub the machine Galactron, but the robot suddenly activates and abducts Naomi with the intention of destroying all life on Earth to end conflict. And not even Orb may be able to defeat it!
- 15 Never Say Never: Unable to defeat Galactron and save Naomi, Gai decides that the only course of action is to use the dark and uncontrollable power of Thunder Breastar once again. However, doing so comes at a heavy cost that only brings back painful memories of a previous failure by Orb to protect one he cared for.
- 16 An Unforgettable Place: Wracked by a deep guilt for almost killing Naomi, Gai feels he is no longer worthy of being an Ultra hero — something that delights Juggler. Sure enough, Juggler unleashes a new, powerful monster on Orb in hopes of forcing him to use Thunder Breastar again and see him consumed by its darkness.
- 17 The Holy Sword, Restored!: Gai can do absolutely nothing against the might of Zeppandon, bringing him into a deeper state of despair. However, Naomi has words of courage and hope for him passed down her family line — ones that will literally restore Gai's heroism and reveal Naomi's connection to the wandering hero.
- 18 Hard-Boiled Liver: Officer Shibukawa's daughter Tetsuko doesn't think very highly of him, so she and the SSP decide to follow him around and see if he really does do anything worthwhile on the job. They soon find him following a mysterious jewel salesman, who turns out to be an evil alien, giving Shibukawa a chance to show his dedication.
- 19 The Demon Inside Me: Naomi attends the bachelorette party of a friend named Yoko and learns how successful Yoko's life is compared to her own's. Her deep jealousy of the bride-to-be and her groom soon calls forth Renki, the vengeful phantom samurai of those unsuccessful in love.
- 20 Revenge’s Trigger: Tarude has set his sights on killing Jugglus Juggler (still injured from his last battle with Gai), and he won't let even Ultraman Orb stand in the way. Meanwhile, Naomi runs into the wounded Juggler and hopes she'll be able to change the villain's heart by appealing to his light.
- 21 The Girl with the Blue Ribbon: Hyper Zetton Deathscythe is sighted floating in the sky in suspended animation in connection to a girl with a blue ribbon. When the investigate, they find an amnesiac girl named Maya being cared for by an old couple called the Iwakis. But, little does anyone know Maya is in fact an old enemy.
- 22 The Unmarked Cafe: SSP investigates a coffee shop not on any map called Black Star Cafe that has super good coffee. They soon discover the owner is a retired alien conqueror named Commander Black and his patrons are all extraterrestrial too. But everyone's been in a haste of leave Earth lately.
- 23 The Blade of Darkness: Gai runs into Haruka again, who warns him of the arrival of a great darkness, while the SSP look into what's causing gigantic slash marks on buildings all over Tokyo. However, the truth couldn't be any more dire — Juggler's back to settle his score with Gai permanently.
- 24 The Ultimate King Demon Beast Strikes Back: Juggler is arrested by VTL and he reveals to them that Maga-Orochi has returned in its true form Magata-no-Orochi, and it will devour the world beginning with Tokyo. Gai now faces his greatest challenge yet, but VTL's plan to destroy the King Demon Beast only makes things worse.
- 25 The Wandering Sun: Magata-no-Orochi rampages unopposed as Gai faces Juggler, who is holding Naomi prisoner. As Jetta, Shin, and Officer Shibukawa work to find the King Demon Beast's weakness, Gai and Juggler's long enmity will be settled when the greatest revelation yet emerges in the final battle.
