When a mysterious capsule comes from the stars and lands on a long-forgotten hot springs town, the mayor of the town is enthralled by its appearance and keeps on taking photos of it with glee. But to spoil the fun, the monster Mons-Ahgar emerges, it's up to Kanata and his allies to form the GUTS Gryphon and put a stop to the monster's intentions.

- The episode features the return of Mons-Ahgar and HANE2/Hanejiro being properly introduced into this series' cast. The original Hanejiro and Mons-Ahgar debuted in the same episode in Ultraman Dyna.
- Mons-Ahgar is advertised as part of a series of kaiju mass-produced by the Alien Merani 1,300 years ago who themselves aren't shown, referencing the two Mons-Ahgar seen in Dyna and that the Merani were long extinct in the original series.
