Go To

When Robby unlocks a new function in hiy cybersleeve, he's eager to finally learm more about the artifact and his and Mo's role as Quintus Prime's chosen ones. Optimus decides to train Robby in the Autobot training room within G.H.O.S.T.'s headquarters, not knowing that Mandroid, who is working with G.H.O.S.T., has noticed and taken an interest in Robbie's and Mo's cybersleeves.

Tropes:

  • As You Know: Robby helpfully reiterates Quintus Prime's connection to the Emberstone, the cybersleeves and the Terrans, so Mandroid can hear.
  • The Bus Came Back: Swindle and Hardtop both make a brief return. Hardtop in his prison cell, Swindle in the middle of an attempt to break his brother out of jail.
  • By the Power of Grayskull!: Robby activates his hardlight armor by saying "In my darkest hour, Quintus, give me power!"
  • Call-Back: Optimus uses a restraining bolt to put Swindle out of commission.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Croft makes a rather callous comment about how G.H.O.S.T. sadly cannot advance with their goals with Meridian dead.
  • Die or Fly: Twice this episode.
    • Robby unlocks his cybershield when Swindle fires a blaster shot at Dot's truck.
    • He then unlocks the ability to form a bigger hardlight version of himself around his body when the Mandroid-controlled Megatron hologram is close to breaking through his cybershield.
  • Downer Ending: Robby's overusage of his cybersleeve has deactivated his, Mo's and the Terran's Psychic Link and seriously affected his physical health. Additionally, Mandroid now knows about the Emberstone and requests Croft to bring it to him in order to further their plans.
  • Glowing Eyes: Robby's eyes glow green when he fully taps into his cybersleeve's power.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Due to Optimus deciding to have Robbie's and Mo's cybersleeves analyzed within G.H.O.S.T. headquarters, Meridian gains valuable intel on both the Terrans and the powers of the cybersleeves and Robby ends the episode with his cybersleeve deactivated due to Mandroid sabotaging Optimus' training.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Croft's and Meridian's interaction makes it clear that there's no love lost between them and that both view the other with extreme contempt.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Mandroid flies into a rage when Hashtag starts to override his control of the training room and Robby succesfully holds back the Megatron-hologram with his shield.
  • Would Hurt a Child:
    • Swindle fires his blaster at Dot's ranger mobile, despite knowing Robby is on-board.
    • Mandroid ramps the training room's level up to a dangerous degree to get at Robby's cybersleeve, completely ambivalent to the potential harm that could come to Robby and Mo. He also keeps viciously attacking Robby in particular using the Megatron-hologram and looks positively gleeful when Robby starts to falter.
