On the satellite, Larry is making breakfast for the guys. Tuddrussel walks in and demands a coffee. When Larry tries to make him say “please,” the History Instability Alarm goes off. The team sees that its mission is Samuel Adams. Otto’s description of the Sons of Liberty for being a bunch of rowdy anarchists impresses Tuddrussel and annoys Larry.

In colonial Boston, Tuddrussel and Larry start asking colonists if they know about the Tea Party, but they all cower and deny ever hearing of it. Finally, one colonist tells Tuddrussel to go to “Ye Old Warehouse” near the harbor before running off.

At night, the team arrives at the warehouse. The three are dressed as Native Americans, the way the Sons of Liberty were supposed to have looked during the night of the Boston Tea Party. Tuddrussel burns a hole in the door with his phaser when asked for a password, but is shocked to find a fancy tea party going on inside. Larry is excited at how civilized everyone is, and a fancy man introduces himself as Samuel Adams. Tuddrussel, disgusted by all this frivolity informs the men that they're supposed to be dumping the tea into the harbor, but is laughed at. Otto asks, "What about King George? Taxation without representation? What about starting the Revolution?"Samuel Adams and John Hancock explain to Otto that while they all hate the King, they are still civilized people with other things to do and simply won’t act in violence. Tuddrussel insists that they all need training to become savage revolutionaries, and Adams and Hancock accept, saying they will try anything once.

Tuddrussel starts the training, but the colonists try to play games instead. Eventually, the training wears out the colonists. Later, Tuddrussel leads the colonists on the attack on the ship carrying tea. He goes over the plan, but the colonists get excited when he says “piece of cake,” and they and Larry sneak off to get some cake.

Tuddrussel and Otto discover that they've lost them and quickly find the colonists and Larry having another tea party inside the warehouse, so Tuddrussel gives up. Otto reminds Larry that the Tea Party is supposed to happen tonight, but Larry ignores him. Otto panics that there may not be an America if they don’t do something now. Tuddrussel goes on about how he can’t do anything because he needs coffee, which gives Otto an idea.

When the colonists run out of tea, Otto offers them some coffee. The smell wakes up Tuddrussel and gets him excited, and the colonists become intrigued. The coffee energizes them to the point where the colonists shed their fancy clothing and turn into rebel rousing dudebros. They are eager to unleash their new-found energy, and Otto reminds them of the tea ships, sending the colonists out the door with their Native American disguises. The Boston Tea Party is a success, much to Larry’s displeasure, and the team leaves.

Tropes present in this episode include:

  • Fratbro: What the Boston Tea Party ultimately turns into by the end of the night.
  • Men Are Uncultured: Provoked when the coffee takes effect on the Boston Tea Party.
  • Must Have Caffeine: Tuddrussel establishes himself as not a morning person, and without that early morning dose of caffeine this leaves him grumpy and lethargic after a few hours of unsuccessfully trying to get the men into shape.
  • Significant Wardrobe Shift: Adams and Hancock go from wearing powdered wigs and fancy pink suits to stripping down to just their white undershirts and pants.
  • The Dandy: Adams and Hancock in particular. They're more interested in their own appearances, their personal interests, and fail to exert any energy beyond pouring tea for themselves.
  • Tea Is Classy: The Boston Tea Party turns out to be exactly that, as the colonists prefer to be civilized gentlemen than rowdy rebels, no matter how much they hate the King. It takes a switch to coffee to rile them up enough to start the Revolution as intended.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Influenced by coffee the men quickly strip off their stuffy getups and wreak havoc over the tea merchant ships.
  • Underdressed for the Occasion: For the Time Squad, when Otto convinces them all to wear American Indian outfits because that's what the members of the Boston Tea Party really wore at their meetings. Well, it's only awkward for them when they crash the meeting only to discover that everyone is wearing fancy outfits and powdered wigs.
  • Upper-Class Twit: How Samuel Adams and John Hancock and the rest of the Boston Tea Party are portrayed as being before drinking coffee.
  • Wacky Fratboy Hijinx: Adams and Hancock especially instigate this when dumping the tea out into Boston Harbor.
