The engines discover that the turntable of Tidmouth Sheds is frozen stuck, and they have to sleep in other places for the night. Gordon wanted to sleep in the turntable berth, but Thomas insists that it should be saved for Percy after his mail run. However, the big blue engine decides to sleep on the berth anyways, but this lead to some problems for him.

- Go-Karting with Bowser: Norman rather politely offers Thomas a space in the Dieselworks to sleep.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Due to Gordon's selfishness in not saving the berth for Percy, the Fat Controller punishes him by having him to pull the mail train.
- In a more cosmic manner, Gordon is made to regret taking the berth in every manner possible, given the workers not only keep him up all night fixing the turntable, but accidentally get him stuck attempting to move it again. As a result, James instead pulls the Express while Percy pulls the coaches James was originally to pull.
