All for Nothing: The sacrifices Hitomi, Van, Allen, and the others made to warn Freid of Zaibach's invasion have failed to stop the invasion or prevent Freid from becoming occupied.
All Myths Are True: After the previous mentions of Atlantis, it's explicitly confirmed the broad strokes of the legend are the same on Gaea: An ancient, advanced civilization that grew too powerful and arrogant and ultimately ended up destroying itself (albeit in fire rather than sinking beneath the waves).
Batman Gambit: Voris suckers Zaibach into thinking the Sword is in Godashim and tries to lure as many troops inside the castle to bring it down on their heads (with the added benefit of giving the Duke and our heroes time to flee). Unfortunately, he's unable to take out Dilandau or the Dragon Slayers (because a suspicious Dilandau correctly deduces Zaibach took Godashim too easily and has his men hold their positions).
Downer Ending: Freid falls to Zaibach, Folken claims the Atlantean power for Dornkirk, and our heroes are back on the run.
O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Dilandau is actually cautious about storming Godashim, sensing a potential trap. Folken even comments on it in-universe, both surprised and even a little impressed that Dilandau's actually showing restraint for once.
