Valmont gets his hands on the Dragon Talisman and uses it to commit robberies, injuring Captain Black in the process. As the enraged Jackie goes after Valmont, Valerie attempts to help Jade and Uncle as they follow Jackie to Fort Knox. A retelling of "Bullies".
- Apologetic Attacker: Valerie apologizes when she painfully strikes the Dark Hand thug who grabs Uncle.
- Batter Up!: Valerie arms herself with a baseball bat at Fort Knox.
- Blindfolded Trip: Uncle and Valerie are asked to wear blindfolds when they are taken to their first visit at Section 13. Valerie complies while Uncle does not.
- Curse Cut Short: When Captain Black wakes up from his coma and learns that Valerie was also injured by Valmont, he's about to call Valmont a SOB before one of his agents comes to report to him.
- Freudian Slip: When Shendu rages at Valmont for using the Dragon Talisman for his own purposes and injuring Valerie, he's surprised when he refers to Valerie as his.
- Hate at First Sight: Valerie is filled with loathing of Valmont as soon as she first sees the crime lord.
- Hypocritical Heartwarming: Shendu is enraged when Valmont injures Valerie because he considers her to be his alone to torment if he chooses.
- In Spite of a Nail: Despite being still able to use the Sheep Talisman to travel in his astral form instead of remaining constrained to his petrified body, Shendu cannot approach the Chans or their shop thanks to Uncle's spells, so he cannot find Section 13 by spying on them and drastically change Season 1's course.
- I Shall Taunt You: Valmont mocks Jackie during their duel about his act of injuring Captain Black. Jackie's resulting anger makes him attack Valmont recklessly, and the crime lord gains the upper hand. A while later, Jackie returns the favor when he reaches Valmont who's escaping on a barge with stolen gold. Jackie mocks Valmont while tossing the gold overboard, making Valmont blast a hole onto the barge and sink it.
- Kick the Dog: As Valmont is about to blast Jackie with the Dragon Talisman, Valerie runs between them and begs Valmont to stop. He responds by blasting her instead.
- Synchronization: When Valerie is injured in the face by Valmont's usage of the Dragon Talisman, Shendu briefly feels her pain in his own face.
- Shout-Out:
- Shendu finds Valerie reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and he reads from it a passage which he finds similar to his own situation with Valerie.
- When Valerie first visits Section 13, she feels like she's in a Men in Black film.
