While Handy and Smurfstorm are bickering, they overhear Gargamel's plan to make Azrael fly, so they create they're own flying machines. Meanwhile, Gargamel makes Azrael fly by using a magic amulet.
This episode has the following tropes:
- Call-Back: Gargamel uses the amulet that was previously used in "Clumsy Not Clumsy".
- Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: After Handy thanks her for the save, Smurfstorm insists she just did what anyone would for a friend. She then twitches over admitting she considers Handy a friend.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Gargamel uses a remote device to control how Azrael flies while wearing the amulet. In the end, the amulet gets on Gargamel, so Handy uses the remote to send him away.
- Little "No": Smurfstorm after Azrael knocks Handy's flying machine out of the sky.
- Pet the Dog: The first test of the amulet sends Azrael out of control. Gargamel goes out of his way to try to catch him before he crashes.
- Those Magnificent Flying Machines: The Smurfs are impressed with Handy and Smurfstorm's new built flying machines.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: What the relationship between Handy and Smurfstorm seems to be; they bicker and compete for a big time on the episode but still care about each other as they take turns in saving the other's life and even share a hug at one point.
