The gang visits the Osbourne Grand Prix Race, where the ghost of a former racer is using supernatural powers to make the other drivers vanish, and Shaggy has to pose as a racer to lure the ghost out into the open.

- Pursued Protagonist: The episode begins with a racer conducting time trials when a ghostly racer appears, quickly chases him down and kidnaps him.
- "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: The culprit's real goal is to steal the other drivers' race cars and resell them overseas, using his disguise to hide his identity in the process.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: One of the race car drivers says that he's leaving after another driver is kidnapped, although three other drivers affirm that they're staying. Unusually for the show, the man who leaves because of the kidnapping is innocent and one of the other three drivers is the culprit.
