- Another Side, Another Story: A few scenes from previous chapters were played from Korra's perspective, such as dropping off the note to Asami in her home.
- Asleep for Days: Between the tranquilizer dart she was hit with along with her exhaustion, Korra is asleep for about two days.
- The Atoner: Korra more or less seems to recognize she should take some responsibility for her actions even if she won't face legal consequences.
- Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Averted. Korra sustained several injuries from her fight with the Red Lotus, and her body is covered in bandages. It is likely she will have scars on her arms.
- Brainwash Residue: The influences the Red Lotus have on Korra remain strong despite breaking ties with them and personally defeating them.
- Cool Big Sis: Korra seems to sort of trying to be this with the Airbabies since she apparently likes spending time with them.
- Easily Forgiven: Justified. Numerous characters forgive Korra's actions due to her mitigating circumstances.
- Friend to All Children: Korra gets along pretty well with the Airbabies.
- Karma Houdini: Tenzin's actions have more or less allowed Korra to become things.
- Killing in Self-Defense: Korra tells Katara that was why she ultimately killed the Red Lotus.
- More than Mind Control: It is clear some of the Red Lotus' teachings remain fresh in Korra's head which has become ingrained with her natural heroics.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Korra experiences this when she realizes she almost killed her own Uncle.
- Ship Tease: Despite Asami and Bolin not appearing in this chapter, Korra still has some ship tease with them. She experiences quite a bit with Kuriva between asking Kuvira to become her teacher and Kuvira making a metal flower for Korra.
