Penny becomes jealous of Dijonay when she proves to be excellent at spoken-word poetry. Meanwhile, Oscar must put up with his 9-year old neighbor, Peabo.
Tropes:
- As Himself: Mos Def.
- Cassandra Truth: Peabo’s warnings to Oscar lead to unfortunate events.
- Circling Birdies: After Penny kisses Peabo on the cheek, he sees a circle of Pennies running around his head.
- Curse Cut Short: When Dijonay demonstrates one of her cheers, she gets to the next line, in which she says: “Rip-rip ras, kick ‘em in the—“, leading her to abruptly stop herself realizing she was about to say “ass”, which she then substitutes it with “other knee!”
- Forgiveness: Dijonay's poem is about this. She indirectly tells Penny she is still her friend, regardless of her envy towards her.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Penny becomes very envious of Dijonay's exponential progress at spit poetry, to the point that she gives a poem on-stage that accuses the latter of being a "backstabber".
- Heel Realization: When Dijonay quickly becomes better at spit poetry under her tutelage, Penny grows so envious of her friend that she calls her a "backstabber" in her poem. It takes Dijonay's poem about still being friends that makes Penny realize she never intended to make her envious.
- Jerkass Ball: This is the only episode when Penny is the bad friend towards Dijonay.
