Flash gets assistance from the Equestrian Hybrids to stop Tirek's mutated form.
- Asleep for Days: Flash was unconscious for two weeks after defeating Tirek.
- Bait-and-Switch: When Flash wakes up and sees the Omnitrix is gone, he believes it was destroyed when he stopped Tirek. Shortly afterwards though, Azmuth arrives and reveals he took it off Flash to repair it before returning it to him.
- Chekhov's Gunman: After being important for the entire season, the Equestrian Hybrids all volunteer to help Flash stop Tirek when his friends are out of commission. Later during the battle, Drift can't be teleported back to the base because his beacon is damaged, allowing him to be there to save Flash from a nasty fall.
- Cliffhanger The chapter ends with a mysterious masked woman looking down at Flash during the celebration, warning that everything gets worse from here.
- Energy Absorption: Tirek's mutant form can absorb energy. At first it seems to only be electricity, until he also starts absorbing other energy sources, like Way Big's laser attack.
- Humble Hero: When all of Canterlot offers to name a day of celebration after Flash for all his heroics, Flash says that he wasn't the only one fighting Tirek and keeping the city safe, and proposes the name "Hero Day" for the celebration instead, which is happily accepted by everyone.
- Motivational Kiss: Before Flash goes to stop Tirek with the hybrids, Adagio pulls him into a kiss saying it is something to make him wanna survive.
- Mythology Gag: Azmuth reveals the Omnitrix has a DNA repair function, which Flash uses to turn Tirek back to normal. This function was similarly used multiple times in Alien Force to cure the DNAliens and repair the Highbreed's flawed DNA.
- Post-Victory Collapse: As soon as Flash confirms that he successfully defeated Tirek and turned him back to normal, he blacks out and is unconscious for two weeks.
- Season Finale: This acts as the third season finale to The Omnitrix Hero.
- Shout-Out: The initial name for day to celebrate Flash and his heroism is "Flash Day", the same name that Central City created to celebrate their own hero. Another version of it is known as Flash Appreciation Day.
- The Worf Effect: Tirek's centaur hybrid form is so powerful, not even Way Big, Flash's strongest alien, can defeat it on his own.
