Recap / The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh S 3 E3a Whats The Score Pooh

Go To

This episode contains examples of the following tropes.

  • Argument of Contradictions:
    Gopher: I have to work!
    Rabbit: Play!
    Gopher: Work!
    Rabbit: Play!
    Gopher: WORK!
    Rabbit: PLAY!
    Gopher: WORK!!!
  • Calvinball: It's not at all clear what the point of the game Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, and Gopher are playing is, or even what the basics of the game are.
  • Here We Go Again!: At the end of the episode, the group finally finishes their game, but when they begin debating what the actual score was, they decide they’ll have to play again the next day.
  • Indy Escape: The gang has to make one when Pooh accidentally releases Gopher's boulder.
  • It Was with You All Along: Eeyore takes this trope as the lesson he learns when the boulder destroys his final, largest house leaving behind his traditional home. He decides it’s all the home he ever needed.
  • Mathematician's Answer: When Rabbit and Gopher ask Pooh what to do during the debate at the former’s house, Pooh simply responds “Yes”. The two actually take it well, agreeing to compromise by helping Gopher with his work so he can recommit to playing.
  • 1-Dimensional Thinking: Averted. When the group realizes they’re about to be flattened by the boulder they’ve chased up a hill, they scatter like cockroaches instead of running back in a single line.
  • Running Gag: Eeyore's house (which notably gets bigger every time) getting tumbled down due to the others playing the game happens several times throughout the episode.
  • Tempting Fate: Tigger hopes the group has lost the boulder, only for it to come back with a vengeance.
