Dib, Zim, and Tak's teams race towards the location of Project Domination. But when the fighting comes to an end, it's with an outcome no one saw coming.
- And Then What?: On the way to Siberia, Tenn asks this of Tak regarding what she'll do once they've gotten Project Domination and taken over Earth. Tak admits she hasn't thought that far (as opposed to Tenn, who's already planning what comfy promotion she's going to use it as leverage for, with Tak considering doing the same before MIMI distracts her).
- Autobots, Rock Out!: Norlock announces Zim's team's arrival on the aerial fight near the beginning of the chapter by broadcasting Ride of the Valkyries.
- Badass Boast: During the riverside fight, Norlock snarls one at Dib after Dib's "The Reason You Suck" Speech to him:Norlock: You insignificant little worm. You dare talk to me like that? I have guided the rise and fall of civilizations. Human history has been my plaything. And before this night is done, I will have set in motion the creation of an empire that I will guide in dominating your pathetic species long after your bones have rotted into dust.
- Best Served Cold: At one point, Tenn states her intention to use Projection Domination to finish the job she started in conquering Meekrob.
- Chekhov's Gag: Back in the first chapter, Dib accidentally triggered the Spittle Runner's emergency brake mid-fight, causing it and the Voot to slam into each other. Remembering that during this chapter's dogfight, Dib triggers the brake to bring the Runner up short while the Voot is chasing it, causing Zim to overshoot and leave himself exposed.
- Cliffhanger: The chapter ends with Norlock betraying Zim and stealing the control node to Project Domination.
- Con Man: Dib calls Norlock out on being this, using his students to live vicariously through, and then abandoning them when the tide turns against them.
- Interesting Situation Duel: Tak and Norlock fighting on the roof of her and Tenn's Voot while it's still thousands of feet in the air.

- Nobody Calls Me "Chicken"!: Norlock is pissed when Dib accuses him of being a coward who hides behind his pupils.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Dib gives one to Norlock over how he hides behind the people he mentors.

- The Starscream: Norlock double-crosses Zim at the chapter's climax to take Project Domination for himself.
- The Tunguska Event: Given its location, Team Save Earth think the event was caused by the Meekrob cargo container holding Project Domination crashing into the Earth and burying itself.
- Wave-Motion Gun: Project Domination is revealed to be a giant plasma cannon. When Steve expresses surprise that instead of something with more "eldritch space magic" it's just a really big gun, Dib and Viera point out that if your gun is big enough, you don't really need something more complicated to crush your enemies.
- Wham Episode: The teams race and fight each other to Project Domination's location, which culminates with Norlock betraying Zim to take control of the weapon for himself.
