Tropes

  • Berserk Button: Messing with Milo is a BIG one for Stanley.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: The Mask as usual acts like this towards Milo being all wacky and impulsive towards him but otherwise being a complete sweetheart towards him. When he sees a tape that says Play Me he decide to play it like a musical instrument by putting it in his mouth then turns himself into one of his favourite forms which is the child one thinking it will be Baywatch.
  • Dr. Jerk: Milo's vet is shown to be a very selfish man who cares more about getting famous for discovering a new virus, instead of his patient's health.
  • Everyone Has Standards: After Milo's vet laments over the loss of the virus and suggests experimenting on the dog for fun, the specialists that he invited expressed disgust in this and leave.
  • Genre Savvy: Stanley knows what The Mask will do since he remembers what he will do once he comes out so he takes the batteries out of the TV remote so that The Mask does not try to change channel.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: Both Stanley and The Mask love Milo with both of their hearts. Stanley when figuring out that The Mask has something to do with how Milo got sick gets angry with him and tells him he will put him in a museum if he does not cure Milo. The Mask goes being a sweetheart to Milo, playing words with his mouth and when he finds out that Milo is sick and gets told that he has something to do with it decide to make up for it by saving Milo since he is like his own kid to him.
  • Iris Out: Hilarious Inversion as The Mask tries to pull this to get away but Cybermite puts a stop to that.
  • Jerkass: Milo's vet is a big one.
  • Large Ham: Other than The Mask, there is also Cybermite who acts very dramatic and over the top.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: When Milo is finally cured, his Jerkass vet still wanted to operate on him "for fun".
  • My God, What Have I Done?: The Mask finds out from Stanley that Milo is sick which causes him to feel guilty when Stanley tells him he had something to do with it which is one of the reasons he goes out to cure Milo since he does feel responsible for it.
  • Nice Guy: As usual The Mask is this since after finding out from Stanley that Milo is sick and that he has something to do with it he decides to go over to the vet straightaway since like Stanley he cares very much and loves Milo like he is his kid as well.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Stanley put on the mask another possible split personality that only appears when The Mask is not around shows up scared and tells The Mask he'll better do it because Stanley really mean what he said which The Mask does straightaway knowing when Stanley gets serious he really gets serious.
  • Papa Wolf:
    • Stanley loves his dog Milo deeply and, when thinking that The Mask got him sick, threatens him, saying that if he doesn't cure Milo, he will lock the mask in a museum so no one can ever wear it again.
    • The Mask is also this as well since he cares about and loves Milo as well so that's one of the reasons he agree to help Stanley since that's the one thing they have in common.
  • Shout-Out:
    • When Stanley threatens to lock it in a museum where no one will ever wear it again, the Mask has this to say about it.
The Mask: I can't let Stanley lock me up! I've grown accustomed to his face!
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The Mask comes back to the apartment by going through the computer and unknowingly brought Cybermite with him who then ends up in a dog waterbowl which Milo drinks from it while The Mask goes out to do his usual hobbies. The Mask finds out that Milo is sick which Stanley tells him he has something to do with it which causes him to feel guilty about it so one of the reasons he agree to cure Milo since he feels it’s his fault that he started the whole thing which he decide to fix it by curing Milo.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Milo's vet has a big one after The Mask finally cures the pooch, and thus, the vet can't experiment on him or get famous for his "discovery".
