Tropes:

• Academy of Evil: Jenks's school is a THRUSH operation intended to train orphaned youths as assassins.
• Don't Make Me Take My Belt Off!: Early in the episode, Mother Fear is seen toying menacingly with a leather strap and threatening two of her lackeys with it. Later on, when Illya is being uncooperative, she states that she's going to use it on him. The actual beating takes place off-screen, but the next time we see him, he's in pretty awful shape.
• Mandatory Motherhood: Anna, the eldest in a large family, rails against this.
• Virtue Is Weakness: While she and her students are watching Napoleon on hidden camera as part of a lesson, Mother Fear remarks that he was doing an excellent job of handling himself...right up to the point where he stopped to help an injured Illya.
  Mother Fear: Now he did very well until this part, but he let friendship get in the way. He just might have escaped by himself. We'll have to give Mr. Solo a C- on this.
