Tropes featured in the episode:
- Detective Animal: Dougal became the dogtective again to solve the case of the missing carrots.
- Mistaken for Thief: Dylan suspects Brian may have stolen the carrots at the beginning of the episode, and later thinks that Dougal is the thief after the cage falls on him. Thankfully, Dougal clears this misunderstanding. It turns out that Dylan was the thief himself.
- Sleepwalking: Dylan is revealed to be doing this towards the end of the episode, which reveals that he was the one who stole his own carrots.
