- Heroic Dog: The moment when the hair twirlers attack Ermintrude, Dougal instantly comes to her defense by sending the hair twirlers in the dustbin, which Ermintrude praises him for saving her.
- Mobile Shrubbery: Dougal hides in the bush in Florence's garden to hide from the parcel which has a mind of its own. When Soldier Sam and Florence arrive, Dougal comes out covered with leaves which Sam compliments him for excellent camouflauge.
