- Halloween Episode: The episode's premise is the Guard tracking an alleged monster after Rafiki tells a scary story.

- Our Cryptids Are More Mysterious: The Zimwi is portrayed in this way, being a creature that, while completely made up by Rafiki, is believed by many (including, for a while, the Lion Guard) to be real.
