Mr. Rivas: Please stay away from the AC unit. - Chekhov's Gunman: Mr. Rivas, the school custodian, turns out to be a former World Cup soccer player. Upon learning this, The Kicks convince him to become their new coach.
- Potty Emergency: Zoe has one after the boys' practice, due to holding it in, hoping that The Kicks would get a chance to use the field.
- Tempting Fate: In her Opening Narration, Devin says that even if they can't practice, no one can take away her runs on the beach. She promptly finds the beach closed.
