Graeme decides to enter Britain in the space race by sending two rabbits, Flopsy and Spiro, to the Moon. But after 6 months of no response, he gets worried and sends up Tim and Bill to discover what happened.
- Ascended to Carnivorism: After being tricked into eating rabbit pie, Tim and Bill are quickly eager to feast once Big Bunny enters the room.
- Black Comedy Rape: In their rampage, Rabbit!Tim and Rabbit!Bill drag a woman into a rabbit hutch.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: All the rabbits and their converts say “Nyeh, what’s up, Doc?”.
- Brainwashed: Using electrocution, giant carrots and Bugs Bunny impressions, Tim and Bill start acting like rabbits.

- Cassandra Truth: Graeme’s attempts to explain the crisis to H.M Armed Forces almost gets him committed, until he turns on the TV to show a report on the shuttle’s re-entry.
- Celebrity Casualty: James Burke (played by impersonator Roland Macleod), Patrick Moore and Prime Minister Harold Wilson (played by stock footage mixed with a body double) are all turned into rabbit people.
- Company Cross References: Upon being blasted into space, Tim tries to leave by going out to a telephone box he spots floating through space.
- Crazy-Prepared: The military apparently created a group of ferret-human hybrids in case they had to deal with rabbit-human hybrids.
- Explosive Breeder: Used for a gag where two of the invading rabbits go behind a tree, and several more rabbits soon emerge.
- Forced Transformation: Big Bunny infects Tim and Bill with a virus that turns them and a few notable celebrities into rabbit hybrids.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: James Burke claims that the “space plague” brought by the Goodies isn’t contagious, before biting a carrot.
- Meaningful Rename: Flopsy re-dubs himself “Big Bunny” upon becoming intelligent and scheming to conquer the Earth.

- Big Bunny intends to conquer “Space, rabbit’s final frontier. To boldly go where no rabbit has ever gone before”. Cue the other rabbits singing the theme song.

- Big Bunny is a spoof of Big Brother, even down to appearing on a screen.
