Molly and Scratch make a wager that Molly can only say "yes" to everything and Scratch can only say "no" to everything.
Tropes:
- Beyond the Impossible: Scratch is left in pain when he discovers the swarm of bees are able to sting him.
- Cannot Spit It Out: Thanks to the curse, Molly and Scratch can only say "yes" and "no", respectively. They think things will be okay, but then they run into situations where it becomes a liability (Molly can't reject watching Irving's magic show even though she hates stage magicians, Scratch can't take the Ghost Council's request to join the ghost upper crust). They decide to then switch words, but that just brings them even more trouble.
- Lethal Chef: To get out of watching Irving the Illusionist's act, Molly accepts Patty's request to taste her gumbo. Turns out it isn't very good, and it takes Molly forty minutes to eat it all. And then Patty asks if she wants seconds.
- Noodle Incident: Whatever happened to Molly to make her hate stage magic.Molly: I don't like being bamboozled, Scratch, and I will not be hurt again!
