Will and his new girlfriend Kathleen are taking their relationship full steam ahead, but things are tested once an earthquake traps them at the Banks' home alone.

- Car Radio Dispute: When Geoffrey tries to put the radio on as he, Hilary, Carlton and Ashley are stuck in traffic, the group immediately fights over what station to play leading to Geoffrey throwing the knob out the window.
- Fish out of Water: Being from Philadelphia where he is not used to earthquakes in the slightest, Will gets terrified when a minor one shakes Bel-Air.
- It's All About Me: Will and Kathleen show subtle signs throughout the episode of being more preoccupied with themselves and having immature reactions to the other's flaws and idiosyncrasies. It boils over by the episode's climax, leading the two of them to decide to take a break for a bit.
- Make-Out Kids: Will and Kathleen start out as this, leading Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv to give them a talking to.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv are surprised, to say the least, when Will says that their advice regarding him and Kathleen was right; Uncle Phil wonders if the earthquake caused this by causing Will to be hit on the head with something.
- Shame If Something Happened: When he doesn't receive a ticket for the Banks' outing to the People's Choice Awards with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Geoffrey employs this to coerce Phil into seeking out an extra.
