Original air date: 4/20/2001 (produced in 2000)

Episode number: 4b

It's Cosmo and Wanda's anniversary, but Cosmo thinks Wanda doesn't like him anymore (he thought it was the Styrofoam anniversary, while she thought it was the false anger anniversary, which he mistook for real anger), so he goes home to his mother. When Timmy and Wanda try to bring Cosmo back, they find themselves on a game show that they have to win in order to get him out.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Answer Cut:
    • Upon learning that Cosmo's mother didn't know he and Wanda had been married for nearly 10,000 years, Timmy wonders what she thought he was doing for all that time.
      (Cut to Mama Cosma's house)
Mama Cosma: Did you get the milk, Cosmo? It seems like you've been gone for 10,000 years.
    • When Timmy tries to get Cosmo and Wanda to stop fighting, he explains that they actually love each other so much that if they had to, they could choose each other all over again, prompting this exchange...
      Mama Cosma: OK, you're on!
      Cosmo and Wanda: On what?
(cuts to a dating game show)
Announcer: On The Fairy Dating Game!
  • Cats Are Mean: Timmy has Wanda do something that is impossible, even with magic: getting a cat trained.
  • Coincidental Dodge: Determined to get back home, Timmy tries to just make Cosmo and Wanda fall back in love and sort it out later. Unfortunately, Cosmo ends up spying a nickel on the floor and ducking at the same time Timmy fires, causing the arrow to bounce off Cosmo's chair and hit Cupid instead.
  • Cupid's Arrow: Cupid's love arrows are introduced for the first time. At the end, one hits Cupid himself, causing him to fall for Mama Cosma.
  • The Ditz: Star and Twinkle are both examples of this. During the "Fairy Dating Game Show" when Cosmo asks the final question in a ploy by Timmy to get him and Wanda to reunite, Star and Twinkle both answer with "Red." Though it's justified in that they're later revealed to be actually robots.
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: Due to it taking a lot of magic for a human to get to Fairy World in back, Timmy is unable to get back home until Cosmo and Wanda make up.
  • Elopement: This episode establishes that Cosmo ran away from home to get married.
  • Forgotten Anniversary: Cosmo thinking Wanda had done this kicks off the plot.
  • Ignored Epiphany: Mama Cosma realizes how much her son loves Wanda. She then vows to try harder to break them up.
  • Jerkass Gods: Cupid calls himself "The God of Love", but can easily be bribed to set someone all wrong up.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When she and Cosmo are fighting, Wanda isn’t wrong when she calls him a Momma’s boy.
  • My Beloved Smother: Mama Cosma wanted Cosmo to marry a robot so she could have control over him.
  • Parent Never Came Back from the Store: Inverted: When Cosmo ran away to get married, he told his mother he was getting milk. She still believed he was 9,895 years later.
  • Robotic Reveal: Mama Cosma reveals that her two girlfriends Star and Twinkle, whom she wanted Cosmo to marry one of, to actually be robots, ripping off their Latex Perfection masks to reveal their metallic endo-skeleton heads that repeat in a sudden Machine Monotone "We love you, Cosmo."
  • Snipe Hunt: Timmy has Wanda try to teach a cat a trick to give Cosmo time to prepare an anniversary surprise. According to him, it's impossible to do, even with magic.
  • We Will Meet Again: Mama Cosma vows she will eventually break up Cosmo and Wanda.
