The Big Fight
- An Aesop: Being nice gets one into less trouble than being snide, rude or catty.
- Pet the Dog: Kuzco spends a good deal of the episode insulting Kronk for using the wrong potion on him. When it's Kronk's use of potion that turns Kavo into a mouse and saves Kuzco, Malina prompts Kuzco to thank him. How he does it is, however, true to nature and nothing short of condescending.Kuzco: Thank. You. Kronk.
- Too Dumb to Live: Kuzco might've averted having a fight with Kavo if he had kept his mouth shut past his simple "I'm sorry". Instead, he mocks him some more, changing Kavo's mind about sparing Kuzco.
