- Batman Gambit: Lujanne changes the enchantment on Ava's moonstone charm to create illusions of Callum and Ezran while the real ones follow in the sky with Phoe-Phoe. Rayla makes an excuse to break from the group so Soren will take the opportunity to kill her, exposing his and Claudia's true motives.
- Big Brother Instinct: When Claudia comes back from her date with Callum crying, Soren angrily asks what Callum did to her while wielding his sword, but Claudia manages to calm him down when she says that he didn't do anything.Soren: I'm your big brother, as you know... And I'm always here to punch someone, or whatever you need.
- Combat Tentacles: Claudia creates one to try and recapture the group.
- Funny Background Event:
- When Ezran wakes up and talks to Callum, Bait can be seen in the background shoving Zym off the bed to give himself more room.
- Ezran tries to get Zym to go into and stay in the same backpack that he used to transport him as an egg since he's not ready to fly yet. He isn't very successful and as the focus changes to Callum having a conversation with Rayla about Claudia and Soren, Ezran's continued attempts to wrestle Zym into the bag become a funny background event.
- Internal Reveal: Viren learns that there is an elf living inside the Magic Mirror.
- Just in Time: Corvus comes to pry Claudia away just as she's about to ground Phoe-Phoe with her octopus tentacle spell, allowing them to escape.
- Lying to Protect Your Feelings: Callum can't bring himself to tell Ezran about their father's death because he is concerned about his little brother's mental health. This also made Callum understand why Rayla couldn't tell him the truth.
- Waxing Lyrical: Ellis waves goodbye to Callum and Ezran.
