Eep and Dawn find an abandoned egg and decide to keep it and raise the baby animal as their own.

- Babies Make Everything Better: Ugga is very enthusiastic about babies. The very thought of finding two unhatched eggs leads to her running through the wall because she couldn't contain her enthusiasm.
- Beautiful All Along: Subverted. Phil tries invoking this, reasoning that baby pandakeets are born repulsive as a method of warding off predators. It's when Gran walks in and sees it does everyone realize that Joy isn't a pandakeet.
- Call-Back: When surrounded by adult ramacondas, Dawn is seen brandishing a pillow as her weapon.
- Companion Cube: Thunk finds a rock and confuses it for another egg. Though in The Stinger, it actually does hatch.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Phil diagnoses the unhatched egg as a pandakeet, a docile, easily trained animal. Instead it hatches into an incredibly dangerous ramaconda.
- Fluffy the Terrible: Eep and Dawn agree to name their baby ramaconda "Joy".
- Here We Go Again!: After returning Joy to her birth parents, Eep, Dawn, Ugga and Grug find a lone wolf spider puppy. While Dawn, Eep and Ugga all coo at it, Grug grabs them all and runs.
- Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Eep's name candidates — Rageblade, Slaughter, Agony and Bloodstorm — are all meant to evoke this idea. She even reveals that "Bloodstorm" was what her parents would have named her if she was a boy.
- Never My Fault: When Dawn voices her concerns over putting Joy through a dangerous obstacle course, Guy sides with Dawn. When a close call makes Eep realize it's a bad idea, she gets irate with Guy and acts like it was his idea. Dawn even act offended at him too.
- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode's title is a play on Toy Story.
- Stepford Smiler: Dawn manages to scare away a eelgle trying to eat Joy by threaten to unload her repressed agression onto it.
