With the help of a hacker, Joker's mind is downloaded into a computer, enabling him to control the new WayneTech Nanobots. This creates a new and improved body who attempts to destroy Batman, Robin, and the original Joker.

- Don't Ask: Averted when Joker first meets Joker 2.0 after escaping the hospital.Joker: I’m not even going to ask… (points at Marty) since I’m sure this is one of your snafus!
- Evil Doppelgänger: Joker 2.0 is this to Joker.
- Kill and Replace: Joker 2.0 attempts this on his original, and threatens to do the same to Joker’s gang if they don’t keep in line.
- Lying Finger Cross: Both Joker and Joker 2.0 do this when they agree to work together. It goes about as well as one would expect.
- Mythology Gag: Robin’s online gaming avatar’s costume looks exactly like the one Nightwing had back in the Silver Age.
- Online Alias: On the online game he’s playing, Robin’s is his future hero name, Nightwing, while Marty’s is Captain Slash.
