After getting his hands on Bane's steroid apparatus, Joker uses it to bulk up to monstrous proportions. As Joker toys with the city with his superhuman strength, The Batman and Batgirl must find a way to defeat this unstoppable force.

- Genius Bruiser: Joker deliberately invokes this when he uses Bane's Venom on himself.Joker: Being a criminal genius just doesn't cut it these days. You need brawn to compliment the brains!
- Growing Muscles Sequence: It's an episode involving someone (this time Joker) using Venom. It's pretty much expected at this point.
- Ironic Echo: Joker mockingly calls Batgirl "Tiny" a few times throughout the episode. This comes back to bite him when Batgirl uses the significant size difference between them to her advantage.Batgirl: I'm "Tiny", Joker. You can't reach me!
- Literal Metaphor: When Bruce tells Alfred that Joker stole the box office from the circus, Alfred considers that small potatoes for him, considering he's got Bane's power. Bruce then elaborates that Joker didn't just take the money — he walked off with the entire booth.

Barbara: (eyes widen) Especially that clown… - Mythology Gag: A pretty dark one for this episode; Act 2 ends with Barbara (trapped inside the Batbot) on her back, all but paralyzed, watching helplessly as the Joker hauls away a badly-beaten father figure.

Batman: But not me, bully. - "Test Your Strength" Game: Joker sets up a Death Trap version of a high striker in the final act; with a large gold-plated globe he had stolen earlier in the episode as the weight, and Batman is the bell. He even uses an actual carnival high striker as a demonstration.
