While Puss is ready to try and assault the Mole kingdom again, Guante Blanco is not convinced and insists they need more assistance. Dulcinea suggests they can ask the Golem, but problems arise when it is revealed the Golem has fallen under the control of the Duchess. Meanwhile Puss struggles with the concept that the Golem will be The Muscle of the team and not him.
Tropes:
- Cuteness Proximity: Disappointed that he's neither the Muscle nor the Brains, Puss realizes he's the Face when he uses his Puppy-Dog Eyes to subdue the Golem.
- Depth Deception: Puss comes across a rock in the way and brags about moving it out of the way. As he steps forward, the rock looming on the foreground turns out to be a small stone.
- Eat Dirt, Cheap: One of the things Puss does to prove his strength is eating gravel.
- Enemy Mine: When Duchess realizes that the Bloodwolf is returning, she suggests a truce as the Bloodwolf is just that terrifying.
- Hair-Trigger Explosive: Crepitus Procursus, a highly explosive crystal. Just throwing a small shard causes an impressive explosion by itself, so Guante Blanco wonders what would happen if he dropped his rapier on a large formation of it.
- Took a Level in Badass: Guante Blanco takes the lesson he learned in "Fountains" to heart, and demonstrates extreme cunning and strategy, getting him named The Brains of the group.
