Rentarou is visiting Meme's home for the first time. He's beyond happy to be there, but Meme is so embarrassed at the thought of him in her room that she Ninja Log's to flee under her table. This continues when it's time to sit down and sit next to each other.
After a rough start, Rentarou and Meme watch a movie together that leaves them both in tears. Suddenly, a sound comes from Meme's closet and out pops a life-size knit toy of Rentarou. Meme is so mortified that she attempts to flee the series altogether, thought Rentarou manages to find her after 3000 pages.
Rentarou insists that he's happy about this discovery; after all, such a project must have taken days to make, so it's proof of how much she loves him. He asks if she keeps it displayed in her room. Meme explains that she takes it out to watch TV next to it and sleeps with it. Rentarou is frustrated that he can't become a stuffed toy to do the same with her.
Now afraid that he'll do something drastic to become one, Meme reveals that the knit covering can be removed to be washed, allowing Rentarou to put it on. They decide to have him roleplay as the knit doll.
Meme walks into her room pretending to have had a long day. She sits down and rests her head on Rentarou's lap. She's pleased to realize that it feels like it normally does, but Rentarou wants to pat her head. When she sits in his lap and wraps his arms around her, he starts wanting to hug her. After that, she pulls him onto her bed and lays next to him while she checks Line. When she hugs him and gives him a kiss on the cheek, Rentarou can't hold back anymore and kisses her back.
Meme, flustered, leaves the room to get Rentarou something to drink while he stews in his own embarrassment. Rentarou knows that he can't keep pitying himself, however, and hugs the knit doll, thanking it for being there for her. While he does this, Meme returns with the drink and is startled to see Rentarou hugging the doll with such an affectionate expression.
The narration notes that Meme had a very... stimulating dream that night. When Rentarou greets her the following day, she Ninja Log's away without a word, much to his confusion.
