Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 111

Go To

Uto is telling Rentarou and Ahko about an outdoor cafe that she likes to frequent, leading to the three of them making plans to visit after school.

On the way, they pass by a cute-looking crepe store that Ahko expresses interest in visiting. The only issue is, non-gals are prohibited from entering and Ahko doesn't want to go alone. She wishes she could be more like Uto, causing Uto to think she wants to become a minstrel.

They arrive at the cafe, where Rentarou and Ahko don outfits similar to Uto's. They are approached by servers who speak similarly to Uto and serve homemade coffee and milk. Other customers approach and strike up a conversation. Uto explains that while she recognizes many of the other customers, she doesn't know their names. Each and every encounter could be the first and last time they meet, so they should be treasured.

Rentarou and Ahko are moved as other regulars approach, claiming to be sisters looking to avenge their family while Rentarou calls himself a disciple looking to bring happiness to his 21 girlfriends. The three girls are impressed by his backstory, which the narrator says is the truth. Ahko claims to be looking to gather cute things from around the world to form a kingdom filled with them. To commemorate the occasion, Uto plays a song. As she does so, Ahko is pleased that she's having fun.

After the group departs, Uto stands up to leave as well. She goes where the wind takes her, after all. Ahko hugs her from behind, startling her as Ahko pleads with her not to leave. Rentarou, however, reveals that Uto is simply leaving to use the restroom. Before she leaves, Uto makes a request of Ahko for when they next meet again.

Cut to the three of them dressed up like gyaru girls (with a footnote stating that they stopped by the school to borrow clothes from Hahari's collection), so that they may enter the gyaru store. The bouncer in front isn't particularly impressed, but only because she doesn't feel that they aren't showing the soul of a gal. When Rentarou nervously talks like one, she acquiesces and allows them in.

When Ahko asks why Uto wanted to visit the gal cafe, Uto explains that she was happy that Ahko and Rentarou enjoyed partaking in the world that Uto loves. Time spent alone is wonderful, but so is time spent with others, particularly when those others are as superb as Ahko. Rentarou offers a bite of his crepe, which Uto and Ahko both partake.

On the way home, Uto and Ahko are both looking at the group pictures they took at their respective cafes as the chapter ends.

Tropes:

  • Cassandra Truth: Rentarou and Ahko's stories at the Wayfarer Cafe are true, but the other patrons assume they're just unusually creative.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Ahko and Uto invite each other to eateries that cater to their own personalities, with Rentarou tagging alongside them in both places.
