Donatello is working on his latest invention; the Dream-O-Vision, a device that can render anything one could imagine into a hologram. Unfortunately, it malfunctions and brings a monster to life.

- Jerkass Has a Point: When Milton's first day on the job ends with him severely injured, Vernon and Burne blame April because looking after him was her responsibility. Though Vernon has no real right to talk, considering the only reason why Milton is in a full-body cast was because he was the one who kept getting him hurt.
- Nepotism: Milton Frobish the Third only got his job because his dad owns Channel 6.
- Never My Fault: When Vernon accidentally has Milton fall off a ladder, he's quick to blame April from letting him climb up it in the first place.
- Sealed Evil in Another World: Creepy Eddie is a Nightmare Weaver that exists within Nightmareland that the Turtles unwittingly summon with the Dream-O-Vision. If one of them stays in Nightmareland long enough, they and Eddie swap places and he can reap havoc onto Earth.
- Sycophantic Servant: In typical Vernon fashion, he immediately drops everything to accommodate Milton, even offering to have April kicked out of her apartment to give it to him. Considering what Vernon is like and Milton genuinely wants to do a good job, every attempt Vernon takes to kiss up to him only causes him bodily harm.
