Recap / Teen Titans Go S 6 E 6 Brobots

Go To

Cyborg decides to visit his best friend Beast Boy, and realizes how much he has in common with Robotman.

  • Arbitrarily Large Bank Account: Robotman pays off his credit card every month, letting him, Beast Boy, and Cyborg splurge when they decide to all hang out together.
  • Break His Heart to Save Him: The Cyborg-Robotman Fusion Dance is powered by their friendship, so Beast Boy has to break them apart by revealing Cyborg's massive credit card debt to the always-punctual Robotman, ruining their friendship (though they're still willing to be acquaintances after being separated).
  • The Cameo: The other Titans are briefly seen in the distance fighting a monster at the start of the episode, to explain why Cyborg's in town.
  • Fusion Dance: After Cyborg states that he and Robotman are so close that they're practically the same person, the Chief decides to literally merge them into one body with unethical science. However, the resulting two-headed, one-body creation goes mad and starts destroying town.
  • Inadvertent Entrance Cue: The episode starts with Robotman asking if he and Beast Boy are best bros, and if Beast Boy has anyone else as special as him in his life. When Beast Boy hesitates, cue Cyborg cannonballing into their above-ground pool.
  • Parlor Games: One of the ways that Cyborg and Robotman's status as "Brobots" is demonstrated is when Cyborg is invited to the Doom Patrol's game of charades, and Robotman is able to accurately guess what Cyborg is before Cyborg even starts miming.
  • Twin Switch: The episode ends with Robotman deciding to help Cyborg, who missed his best buddy while he was away for summer (disproving Robin's statement from two episodes ago), spend more time with Beast Boy by taking his place in the Titans for a few days, stating that the other Titans probably won't even notice as long as they still have a robot on the team.
