Cyborg hosts a Meatball Party, making meatballs for everyone (including tofu balls for the vegetarian Beast Boy). However, Raven doesn't want to be forced into participating.
Tropes:
- An Aesop: You shouldn't force someone to join a party they don't wanna participate in.
- Artistic License – Medicine: Cyborg uses meatballs to cover Raven's cavity, but in real life, the cavity would only get worse. So you either have the dentist fix it or have them take out the infected tooth. But to be fair to the Titans, the dentists that tried to fix it weren't able to handle the kind of demonic cavity Raven had.
- Butt-Monkey: Beast Boy as a result of the demon, after its initial appearance, deciding to wallop on him whenever it shows up, to the point that it eventually decides to swallow him. Lampshaded by Beast Boy as he's being dragged away said swallowing:Beast Boy: WHY DOES IT KEEP GOING FOR ME?!
- Dwindling Party: The demon unleashed in Raven's mouth ends up devouring Beast Boy, Robin, and Starfire, allowing Cyborg to talk to Raven and understand that he shouldn't have hurt her feelings by forcing her out of her comfort zone before going in her mouth to rescue the others.
- Ignored Epiphany: The episode's final scene is Cyborg vowing that he's learned his lesson and won't force Raven to put up with his antics if she genuinely doesn't want to join in...and then the Titans goad him into another Meatball Party, at which point he apologizes, states he just can't help himself, and blasts Raven with a Meatball Cannon.
- Lethal Chef: When Raven finally gives in and takes a bite of a mystery meatball, she chips her tooth, because Cyborg based it on himself: half-meat, and half-metal.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: Cyborg cracking one of Raven's teeth with his half-metal meatball has the unintended side-effect of unleashing a demon in her mouth, which attacks the Titans and later the dentists that try to fix it.
- Skewed Priorities: When Robin has an Oh, Crap! realization that sealing Raven's tooth means that Beast Boy will be stuck inside it, Cyborg can't exactly care about it... mainly due to being obsessed with solving a puzzle in a children's magazine at the moment.
