Tropes:

  • Attempted Rape: After losing her baby to a kidnapping, Daniel attempts to sleep with Teresa, promising to make up for the loss of her first child by having one of their own. However, he's trying to force himself on her while she's clearly distraught and she fights him off, telling him she doesn't want him, she wants her baby.
  • Downer Ending: One of the most miserable in the series. Teresa never gets her baby back, goes insane from the depression, and Daniel ends up beaten to death by a group of parkgoers trying to steal back the baby he gave away.
  • Ironic Echo: "It's funny the effects a baby can have."
  • Jealous Parent: The episode's plot focuses on Daniel who becomes jealous after Teresa becomes devoted to her newborn child instead of him.
  • Refuge in Audacity: How does Daniel manage to get rid of Teresa's baby? By essentially selling it to a black market organization that kidnaps and redistributes newborn children.
  • Posthumous Narration: Daniel narrates the episode from the grave.
  • Taking You with Me: Daniel tries to get Teresa's baby back from the black market organization, only to be told that it's going to take £20,000 now. Daniel threatens to call the Police, only to be told that they will tell them his part in the kidnapping.
