Hidden in the abandoned ceramics room of Jerome Horwitz Elementary School is a mysterious student known as Bo Hweemuth. Because of the various rumours spread about him, the student body fears and avoids him.

Well, George and Harold aren't scared, and so they make a comic book about him so the students won't be afraid anymore. Bo loves the comic, and once everyone gets to know him, it turns out that he wasn't a monstrous bully, but instead a shy artist with a heart of gold.

Thanks to the comic, no one is afraid of Bo anymore. Unfortunate, Krupp and Melvin have other plans, which results in Melvin using an invention to turn Bo into Claylossus, the monster from the story, and so George, Harold, and Captain Underpants must set out to tame this blobby beast.

Tropes:

  • Art Shift: Claylossus turns the set from traditional animation to claymation.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Bo's entire introduction. He is made out to be a mean, terrifying bully, but once he is properly introduced, he turns out to be a big sweetheart.
  • Brick Joke: A rare triple example! Krupp has a shark in an aquarium in his office, who escapes at one point. Later, after being knocked back into himself from Captain Underpants, he asks where his shark is. At the very end, Krupp finds his shark, who then gets into a fight with Bigfoot and a chupacabra.
  • Easily Detachable Clay Parts: When the boys are turned into clay, Harold steals George's arm right off his body and attaches it to his forehead. Once they find Claylossus, George takes his arm back and reattaches it with no issue.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While Krupp did ask Melvin to find a way to keep the other kids afraid of Bo, even he thought Melvin turning Bo into an actual monster was going a bit too far. He only wanted to ruin Bo's reputation, not make him destroy the city.
Mr. Krupp: When I said "make him a monster", I didn't mean make him a monster!
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Claylossus has a deep, gruff voice as opposed to Bo's higher, raspier voice.
  • I Am Not Weasel: "Me not dog!"
  • In the Hood: Used as a form of symbolism; when Bo is believed to be a monster, his hood is up. When he's revealed to be kind, his hood comes down.
  • Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: Bo has one of the kindest hearts in Piqua, but because of his intimidating appearance and the various rumours spread about him, he doesn't have any friends and spends his time alone in the ceramics room.
  • Overly Long Gag: The joke with Captain Underpants calling Bo like a dog goes on for an entire minute.
  • Running Gag:
    • Mr. Meaner's obsesssion with the chupacabra.
    • The lie-detecting crow that shows up whenever Mr. Krupp compliments Melvin, or the two discuss the latter's recommendation letter to Eliteanati Academy.
    • Captain Underpants thinking Bo is a dog.
  • Shout-Out: Earlier in the episode, it's shown that Mr. Krupp has a shark in his fish tank. Then during Miss Anthrope's usual interruption, she tells him his shark has disappeared, leading to a familiar Oh, Crap! reaction, complete with Dolly Zoom.
Ms. Anthrope: …Your shark is gone.
Mr. Krupp: Oh, no… close the beach.
    Ms. Anthrope: What bea—?
    Mr. Krupp: CLOSE THE BEACH!!!
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: Invoked: Melvin gives Claylossus a cognition impediment to make him more unstable, and therefore scarier.
  • Unexpected Kindness: When Bo corners them, George and Harold expect him to beat them up. However, he instead presents them with a Captain Underpants action figure.
