To warm up her Ice Palace, Kootie Pie Koopa kidnaps Mama Fireplant from Dome City. Because Mama provides the heat for the city, the Marios must rescue her from Kootie Pie before the cave people freeze!

- Goofy Print Underwear: Unlike the games, where a shell-less Koopa Troopa wear a white tank-top, the Troopa in this episode wears yellow boxers with red hearts.
- Help, I'm Stuck!: Kootie Pie gets stuck in a block of ice at the end of the episode.
- Say My Name: Luigi shouts Mario's name as he plummets to the ground, and Mario shouts his name back.
- Token Heroic Orc: Mama Fireplant is functionally a Fire Piranha Plant who provides a helpful service.
- Title Drop: When talking about her plans to sell the cave people Mama Fireplant's fireballs to the cave people, Kootie Pie drops the episode's name; "We'll have a fire sale!"
- "The Villain Sucks" Song: "Kootie Pie Rap" sung by Mama Fireplant about how selfish Kootie Pie is.
