- Commuting on a Bus: Jack O'Neill, who will continue to oversee Homeworld Command during Season Two and issue orders off-screen (but not actually appear).
- Earth-Shattering Kaboom – once the stargate locks onto the ninth chevron, the naquadria core of the Lucian Alliance's planet starts to explode. This is the second time dialing to Destiny has made a planet go boom.
- End of an Era: Meta example. "Incursion, Pt. 1" marks the final appearances of Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, and Samantha Carter in the TV franchise. This concludes a 13 year run for RDA, Michael Shanks, and Amanda Tapping as their characters (although all three actors would later reprise their roles for the Stargate SG-1: Unleashed video game).
