The Xenos will die, but that is only the first and most righteous step in his newest crusade.
A crusade to preserve the Imperium of Man from forces both external...and self-originating. For this cause, he will skirt the very veils of hell, but such gambles are nothing new to Orion. And when everything is on the line, only a fool or a coward doesn't put everything on the table. Yet his actions could just as easily doom the scions of the Emperor as save them.
Tropes in this episode include:
- Breather Episode: This episode is noticeably less action-focused and centers more on character interactions. The episode before this had Dr. Shina barely escape with her life as the Space Marines killed Renphi, Shina's science team, and everyone else aboard the Honor Hound.
- Perspective Flip: The first half of this episode retells the hyperspace ramming of the Atlas of Steel and the subsequent first contact battle at Pzob from the perspectives of Orion and the Skywatch.
- Villain Episode: This is an Imperial-focused episode with the POV characters being Orion and the newly-introduced Lord Admiral Rollah Sendurran of the Imperial Navy.
