While Sonic, Knuckles, and their friends try to keep the last Chaos Emerald out of Chaos' hands, they learn a starting revelation about the monster and what happened in Angel Island's distant past. Suddenly, Chaos strikes, reclaiming the team's emerald and beginning its angry rampage on society. Now, Sonic must do all he can to stop Chaos from drowning all life in its wrath.

- Adaptation Expansion:
- The game's version had Sonic travel to the past. But in this episode, both him and Knuckles travel to the past.
- The scene adds the part where Sonic fights off Perfect Chaos in his normal form before fighting him in his super mode.
- The pink bird that represents Gamma appears with Amy in the game. But in here, Lily and her siblings appear with her.
- Enemy Mine: Eggman is also involved in finding the Chaos Emeralds and gives them to Sonic, although he does it grudgingly.
- One-Winged Angel: Chaos becomes Perfect Chaos once absorbing all seven Chaos Emeralds.
- The Power of Friendship: The support the citizens, his friends, and others give to Sonic causes the Emeralds to regain their power, thus Sonic turns super to battle Chaos.
