Sly and the gang attempt to recruit Dimitri for their Cooper Vault operation.
Tropes:
- Arc Villain: Captain LeFwee.
- Bad Boss: LeFwee, again. He kills his first mate for trying to reassure him that Skull Keep was secure, and nearly does it again when Jones interrupts his monologue to warn him that the Cooper Gang’s ship was trying to escape.
- Call-Back: The whole reason why the Cooper Gang are involving themselves in Blood Bath Bay in the first place is because they owe Dimitri a favor for when he helped them in "Flight of Fancy". The fact that he joins them as their frogman is just a bonus, not that they asked him or anything.
- Casual Danger Dialog: Sly gets one during "Operation: Reverse Double-Cross" after being lured into a trap with a fake Penelope dummy strapped with dynamite.Sly: Penelope, is that you? Time for a rescue. *cue reveal* LeFwee. Huh, he's good.
- Gangplank Galleon: Blood Bath Bay is a pirate town located in the Caribbean islands of North America. It is known as one of the last true pirating towns, the town itself consists of many buildings, as well as a harbor and various passageways that allow access to higher levels. There are also some large dead sharks swimming around in the waters surrounding the town, such as outside the safe house and near a restaurant named "Pirate Grill." The ocean also contains smaller islands.
- Kraken and Leviathan: The Crusher is a giant squid monster that LeFwee's pirates all fear, the Cooper Gang gaining its allegiance with the Guru's mind-control abilities.
- MacGuffin: Reme Lousteau's diving gear. Dimitri calls in that favor the Cooper Gang owes him to get it back and the rest of the episode is incidental in their mission to find and retrieve it.
- Operation: [Blank]: "Operation: Reverse Double-Cross" involves the Cooper Gang's ship battling LeFwee's ship The Death's Head. Since Penelope might be on-board, they can't sink it. Instead, Sly boards the boat and "surrenders" to get a proper audience with LeFwee and find out where he is keeping Penelope.
- Pirate Parrot: Invoked. Black Spot Pete and Captain LeFwee are both pirates and anthropomorphic parrots.
- Retired Monster: Black Spot Pete and his best friend and partner, Cantankerous Tim, famously raided many ships, which included stealing the prized diving gear of Dimitri Lousteau's grandfather, Reme Lousteau. However, when Captain LeFwee moved in after Tim was mutinied by his own crew, Pete retired before he was eventually reduced to nothing more than a drunkard drinking his sorrows away at the local pirate tavern.
- Volleying Insults: The “vinegar talk” game that Black Spot Pete played with Cantankerous Tim, which Sly has to win to convince Pete he’s the real deal, consists of opponents taking turns spewing increasingly ridiculous pirate insults.
- You Are in Command Now: After LeFwee kills his first mate for trying to calm his boss down, he promptly promotes his second mate to the now vacant position.
