The Sliders find Dr. Geiger conducting experiments in an universe that is about to disappear.
Tropes present in the episode:
- Fusion Dance: What Dr. Geiger tries and fails to do with himself and numerous people, including Mallory. He later tries to undo it with Mallory and Quinn; unfortunately, he fails again.
- Honor Before Reason: Mallory agrees to the procedure that will supposedly restore Quinn and pushes Diana to agree."That's why we came, isn't it; why we keep sliding? You promised Remmy and Maggie you would do what you could to set things right. Well, now's your chance. You do this, and it's over, and we go home."
- I Owe You My Life: Mallory admits he'd still be in a wheelchair if not for Geiger.
- Jerkass: Stu the bellhop.
- Redemption Equals Death: Dr. Geiger helps the sliders out one last time as he is dying.
- Running Gag: Stu getting punched out.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Once again, this season's main quest of finding a way to separate Mallory and Quinn ends in failure. By the time the Sliders find the way to do so, the two alter-egos turn out to have become impossible to unfuse from having been merged for too long.
- Stock Footage: A shot from "Genesis" was reused to give us one last glimpse of the original Quinn Mallory.
- The Reveal: The man from The Teaser wasn't Geiger's double. That man and the deformed people were experimented on by Geiger in the hopes of restoring himself.
- Wham Line: When Diana checks the data that Geiger gave her:Rembrandt: What is it?
Diana: The way home. - Wham Shot: Geiger's appearance at the hotel after a man who looked like him just died.
