The Sliders arrive on a world where a virus has transformed most of humanity into zombies. When Quinn is bitten, he begins to turn into a zombie, and the others race to find a cure before the timer hits zero.
Tropes present in the episode:
- And Then John Was a Zombie: Quinn is bitten and begins transforming into a zombie. Fortunately, the others find a cure.
- Berserk Button: Wade doesn't want to hear a single negative word about Arturo, especially from Maggie.
- Break the Cutie: Wade is broken by Arturo's death, the constant fighting with Maggie, and Quinn's predicament.
- Cooldown Hug: Rembrandt gives one to Wade.
- Evolving Credits: Kari Wührer (Maggie Beckett) is promoted to opening titles, taking John Rhys-Davies' (Arturo) place. Rhys-Davies' voice, though, is still heard over the show logo and will remain so for the remainder of the season.
- Freak Out: Ambushed by a zombie, Wade clubs him and proceeds to break down.
- Gallows Humor: When their car breaks down shortly before the zombies are due to emerge, Wade asks if the engine can be fixed. Observing his entire situation, Rembrandt proceeds to laugh uncontrollably.
- Glowing Eyes of Doom: The zombies sport these.
- I Cannot Self-Terminate: When the group has to split up, the infected Quinn has Maggie stay with him while he researches a possible cure. He tells her to wait two hours.Maggie: And then I'm gone.
Quinn: Not before you kill me. [Maggie looks surprised] That's why you're here! - Nothing Is the Same Anymore: Arturo's death and Maggie's addition have taken a toll on Wade.
- Plague Zombie: The zombies that appear in this episode are of this type.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Dr. Tassler believes Maggie has a natural immunity that can be used to find a cure, but she's not infected because she's from a different Earth.
- Zombie Apocalypse: The Sliders land on a world where this trope is taking place.
