The cadets have all gotten one Skylander from the team each to have them be their senior advisor, except for Bad Breath. Suddenly, Cy arrives with the news that the Fire Viper is back and has taken King Pen hostage. While everyone is preparing for the mission, Cy and Bad Breath meet each other, and upon seeing how the other cadets treat both of them, Cy decides to appoint himself as Bad Breath's advisor so he can come along. But when everyone arrives at King Pen’s isle, the Fire Viper taunts them by eating King Pen. This enrages Cy, who runs right at the Fire Viper and gets eaten himself, followed by Bad Breath. And now when the plan is in shreds, everyone else ends up getting eaten as well.
This episode provides examples of:
- Birds of a Feather: Cy and Bad Breath become friends quickly because of how they are both shunned by the other cadets.
- Complexity Addiction: To save King Pen, Jet-Vac comes up with a simple two step plan. That consists of fifty eight parts.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Cy ruins the plan Jet-Vac made by rushing at the Fire Viper after he eats King Pen, which then leads to the Fire Viper easily eating up everyone else while they try to improvise.
- Oh, Crap!: At the end of the episode, Spyro asks King Pen what the latter meant earlier when the former should know about "the losses of the past". King Pen gets this look before saying that he was speaking gibberish due to being weak from the heat inside the Fire Viper's body.
- Rage Breaking Point: Cy rushes at the Fire Viper enraged after he gobbles up King Pen.
- Who's on First?: When Bad Breath introduces himself to Cy, Cy thinks he's saying that Cy's breath smells bad, before Bad Breath says that that's his name.
