The team has failed something so simple as the Fire Viper simulation too many times, so Eon enlists the help of his old ally King Pen. The penguin presents his own created Skylander named Cy, who the team gets to construct his entire being. Hoping that Cy is what they need to finally beat the Fire Viper simulation, they start training Cy to become more like them. Meanwhile, Kaos has trouble projecting the map to Arkus, so Glumshanks recommends a trip to the spa so Kaos can relax and focus better.

Pop Fizz: ...or one enemy. No need to swing for the fences on the first pitch. - Epic Fail: The team has failed the Fire Viper simulation so many times that, according to Hugo, they have set a record for it.
- Product Placement: This episode places heavy emphasis on an Imaginator, tying in nicely with the then recently released Skylanders: Imaginators.
- Stealth Hi/Bye: Everytime we see Spyro alone at the thinking spot, it is followed by the other team members appearing and reavling that they have been there the whole time, even if they weren't seen before.
- Title Drop: When Cy has been brought to Skylands, Eon says that he is the potential missing link the Skylanders need to function as a team.
